Monday, March 19th “Keeping My Promise”
About two weeks ago, I made a promise to myself to not watch Netflix (All you can watch movie site). I have been able to keep that promise so far except one time. I often get updates on new movies to my E-mail from Netflix. They told me that they have updated a new movie called, 「この世界の片隅に」. It’s a Japanese animation about World War 2. I’ve always wanted to see that movie for a long time. I heard it was a really good movie so when Netflix updated it I couldn’t help myself. It was a great movie though it made me sad. I think some movies you just have to watch because they are so powerful that they will change your life forever. I didn’t regret that I broke my promise of watching Netflix. However, I will continue to keep my promise to not watch Netflix for a little longer.
Actually, I regretted getting sick a little. I wasted more time resting in bed. I was reminded how important health was. Basically, if you get sick, it’s over. Although I’m always super careful, I was a bit careless.

A lot of things usually happen in Spring or in Fall for me. I think it’s some kind of a life cycle for me. I really don’t like to believe that my fate is somehow determined though. Therefore, I don’t believe in blood types or fortune telling. Basically, I believe that life is made up of things you decide and the action you take.
Basically, I never talk about my real thoughts to students because I want students to feel comfortable talking about anything they want. I also believe that people can believe what they want so I have no problem at all with people having strong beliefs about something. In fact, I want to help students express that in English. Sometimes, it feels really good to express what you really think and people understand your point of view. That’s how I would like to help my students.
