Thursday, February 4th.  “Reading”

The other day, I went to Maruzen Honten in Sakae.  It has the biggest selection of English books in Sakae.  I would like students to read 1 book every 3 months. If possible, I would like students to read more.  Here are the books that I thought would be good for you.  I have it at school, so you can take a look at them. 

First of all, there’s a publishing company called Penguin Readers.  They publish books for English students so they are easy to read.  It’s divided into different levels.  

When you speak English, you don’t need to have a lot of words.  If you have 1000 words, you can already speak a lot.  The goal is to get used to the 1000 words so you can use them fluently.  

It’s important you spend time with those 1000 words.  The best thing is to read it out loud every day.  This will be very effective in order to use the 1000 words.  I highly recommend you read these books.  

The books can be bought on Amazon or you can go to Maruzen. I just checked the books on Amazon but it takes 4 weeks to get them.  So I suggest you go Maruzen on the 7th floor.

先日丸善本店に行ってきました。栄で一番大きな洋書の選択肢があります。生徒さんに、３ヶ月毎に一冊の本を読んでもらいたいと思っています。もし可能なら、もっと生徒さんに読んでもらいたいです。ここで生徒さんに良い本を紹介したいと思います。学校に置いてあるので、手に取ってみてください。

最初にPenguin Readerという出版会社があります。英語学習者のために出版しているので読み易いです。レベル分けがされています。英語を話す時には沢山の単語を知る必要はありません。1000語ぐらいで結構話すことができます。

目標は流暢に使える1000語に慣れることです。その1000語と時間を費やす事です。一番いい事は毎日音読する事です。これは1000語を使うのにとても効果的な事です。これらの本を読むことをおすすめします。

これらの本はアマゾンまたは丸善で購入できすが、アマゾンは４週間以上かかってしまいます。ですから、丸善の７階に行くことをお勧めいたします。

Roald Dahl Boy  A1➕

ロアルドダールは子供向けに本を書いている小説家です。有名な作品はチャーリーとチョコレート工場です。自分の幼児期のエピソードを面白おかしくストーリー化しています。

Wonder A2

Wonder はハリウッドが映画化した作品です。顔の形が変形している彼が学校に行くことによって様々なチャレンジを乗り越えていくストーリーです。

漫画だからとても読み易くなっています。それも、英語の上には日本語か記載されています。とても勉強になると思います。
