Monday, April 16th   “Car Share”

Since 4 years ago, I’ve been using a service called car share.  It’s an amazing service and I can’t live without it.   I don’t have a car so I use this wonderful service from time to time.  The car share’s cars are parked in a lot of places.  Luckily, there’s a car parked 2 min from my house.  Whenever I need to use it, I go online and reserve it.  It’s like having your own car but you don’t need to pay the high cost of having a car.

However, there’s one thing I don’t like about this service.  Once you reserve it, you have to put in the time you’ll return it.  I’m often rushed to return the car.   The other day I rented the car and the car’s return time was nearing.  I was in a rush to get back to the parking lot.  I got to the parking lot with 2 min left.  I felt I made it but shockingly there was another car parked in the space I was supposed to return it!  Damn it!!  I had to park the car in the back of the parking lot and it was really hard to park.  I went over the deadline and the car said: “You’ve gone over the time limit!  Stop the car and call the office”.  I yelled back at the recording, “I’m back but there’s another car parked in my space!!”  Of course, nobody heard me and I was just talking to myself.   I ignored the recording and took my time parking the car.  Later, I realized I was penalized for being late.  Sometimes, when I’m driving a car share’s car, I imagine hearing the sound of a clock going tick, tick telling me you only have little time to return the car.  I guess you can say it’s a bit thrilling to rent car share.

Wednesday, April 18th   “Biggest Dish of Spaghetti Ever!”

I really love pasta.  Sometimes, I really crave for it.  When I feel like eating it, I usually go to a restaurant called “Goemon”.  I really like their spaghetti.  Last Sunday, I decided to go somewhere different for a change.  There’s a Spaghetti restaurant called “Hiroshi” near Chikusa Aeon.  They are famous for their huge amount of Spaghetti.  The regular spaghetti dish is 400 grams.  That’s double the normal size.  On that day, I really felt hungry because I skipped lunch so I decided to order extra big.  When they brought out the dish, I was shocked because the plate was like a tray.  It was huge!!!  On top of the plate was a mountain of spaghetti.  It looked like Mt. Everest.  It as 600 grams of Spaghetti.  After I ate it, it made me feel like I didn’t want to eat spaghetti until next year.  Sometimes, it’s fun to overdo things and you’re just sick of it.  If you ever feel like eating spaghetti until you explode, I recommend going to this restaurant.   Another good thing about this restaurant is that it’s pretty cheap for the amount of food you get.  Check it out!

Sunday, April 22nd   “Oops!  I did it again!”

If you’ve been reading my journals, you know that I’d been fighting my addiction with Netflix.  About a month ago, I quit watching it.  Since then I’ve been focused on doing other things like working, reading, and going out.   I feel that it has made my life better.  I’m definitely getting a lot of stuff done more quickly.  However, I have to confess that I recently watched 10 episodes of a drama in two days.  After I watched it, I didn’t really regret it because I needed to take a break. The drama is a Netflix original called “Lost in Space”.  It’s a Science Fiction drama.  I really enjoyed watching it.  It was really thrilling.

I know from next week I can work hard and keep Netflix out of my mind.  I learned that you can’t be too hard on yourself.  Once in awhile, you just need to let everything go.
