Monday, May 28th. “What the hell?”
Last Saturday, I got the new I-phone. You’ll be surprised how expensive it is. It costs 130,000 yen! Softbank put me on a 4 year contract to pay it off. I’m kind of regretting it a little because it’s not really different from my I-phone 6. The only difference is face recognition feature. The phone recognizes my face and unlocks my phone for me. I’m sure there are a lot more features but I don’t have the time to figure them out. What makes me angry is that the phone does not recognize my face at night sometimes. I guess it’s because I look tired at night. Right now I feel that I paid 130,000 yen for a phone that tells me “I won’t let you use the phone because your face looks too tired” So far, I’m pissed off with my phone! I’m always yelling at my phone, “Damn it, open!!!”

Wednesday, May 30th. “You win!”
Couple of weeks ago, one of my nighttime students told me microwaves can be dangerous if it’s used a lot. I did some research online and found a lot of information that might be true. Since I use the microwave couple times a day I got scared.
The other day, I was telling some of my daytime students about this. I told them that I was eating cold Bento because I was scared of microwaves. The students were laughing at me because I tend to be too particular about health issues. One student told me. “Listen, I’ve been using the microwave for 30 years almost every day for couple of times a day and I’m still alive!” What she said was really convincing. I thought “you win!”
I’m still scared to going back to using the microwave but I think I’ll just warm up my rice since I’m sick of eating cold hard rice. There’s nothing more terrible than rice that’s really cold and hard. I feel like I’m eating sand. I can’t wait to go back to eating nice steamy rice.

Sunday, June 3rd “My favorite pancake”
I love sweet things. I especially love things with whip cream. It’s such a pleasure to eat things with whip cream. There’s one restaurant that satisfies my craving for whip cream. It’s called Eggs and Things. The restaurant is next to Parco and it’s orginally from Hawaii.
The whip cream that’s on top of the pancakes is amazing. Most people will say, “woooow!” when they first see it. Actually, I reacted the same way even on the second time. I’ll probably react the same way on my third time as well.
I can eat the pankcakes and the whole whip cream all by myself. At the end, I felt like whip cream would come out of my ears. However, I know I’ll eventually feel like eating it again. I can never get enough!
I can never get enough – どれだけやっても飽きない。
