Monday, November 12 “My Stash”
Last Tuesday, I discovered that I have high blood pressure. I was shocked to know this fact. Since then, I have been thinking of ways to lower my blood pressure. I don’t want to depend on drugs to lower it because I’m still in my 40’s . I’m thinking of exercising 2~3 times a week. The other thing is to watch what I eat. I often much on something between classes. I used to eat sweet or salty snacks. I’ve changed that to eating fruit and healthy snacks. Today, I went shopping to find some healthy snacks. Here are some things I found. They are seeweed snacks and low salt Senbei. I call them my stash. (stash-こっそり隠してあるお金や貴重品) It kind of makes me look like an old man eating these things but oh, well.
Wednesday, November 14th. “Caring Students”
I really appreciate it when students give me things. I receive things almost everyday from students. I always feel I’m the luckiest guy on earth and I also feel I’m glad I became a teacher. This time students took the trouble to find ways to lower my blood pressure. I received a book about food that’s effective for lowering high blood pressure. I also received special tea that helps my situation.
I want to give back the love by providing a better English service to my students. Right now, I’m thinking of some big changes of the school. Once, I’ve set up everything properly, I’ll be announcing it. I’ll give it my all to constantly improve the service. Thank you for being my student!!
This is off-topic but I’m really into eating these little fishies. They are soooo good. I can’t stop eating them. Not to mention, they give me a lot of calcium. I’m hoping that I’ll grow a little. Let me know if you think I’m a little bigger. 😎
Saturday, November 17th “Indian Restaurant”
There are some foods that I crave every month. They are pizzas, Thai food, and Indian Curry. So I’m contantly looking for those restaurants. A student told me that there’s a good Nepal and Indian curry restaurant on Sakuradori near the school. I decided to check it out. It’s about a 10 minute walk from school and it’s easy to find. I ordered seafood curry and I decided to try cheese nan instead of the regular nan. The cheese nan was really good but I can tell that it was really fattening. Actually, after the second piece, it was getting to be too much. The seafood curry was really good but I think there was a lot of garlic in it. I probably smelled bad after I ate it.
One type of restaurants that I have hard time finding is a good pizza restaurant. In America, there are so many pizza restaurants. In Nagoya, there are some but it’s not enough. I really want one pizza franchise to come to Nagoya. It’s called 800 degrees pizza. My first time to try this restaurant was in Las Vegas. I fell in love with it right away. The ordering style is similar to Subway Sandwich. When I looked it up online, I found one in Shinjuku. I’m really jealous of Tokyo. They always get the best of everything!! It’s so unfair!!
