Monday, December 3rd “Last Week”
Last week, my blood pressure was not as high as the week before. I guess it’s due to a couple of reasons. One, the acupuncture treatment I’m receiving. second, I’m trying to get more sleep. Third, I’m trying to eat things that will bring down my blood pressure. Students have been giving me many things that will help me lower my blood pressure. I’m truly grateful. The only thing I haven’t had enough time is to get more exercise. However, on Sunday I decided to go for a jog. It’s been a while since I last went for a jog. I thought my heart was going to explode.

I’m careful about the food I’m eating. When I eat out, I try to pick a place with healthy food.
Wednesday, December 5th “Hard texture”
I realized something about myself. I’m hooked on things that have a hard texture. Every time I sit in front of my desk to work, I find myself always munching on something. They are all things that make a noise when I eat them. I think there’s something relaxing about chewing something. For me, it has to be something hard. Some people smoke and others drink. I do neither of those things. I do have the habit of munching. I have a stash both at my home and office. They are all snacks that make a crunchy sound.
Recently, I’m into “Honey Butter Almond”. It’s a souvenir that I got from a student. I’ve been hooked ever since I ate it. It’s almond covered in honey and butter. It’s absolutely delicious. I can’t get enough of it.

Saturday, December 8th, “Baked Apple”
A student told me about a way to turn sour apples sweet. It’s a simple method and anyone can do it. Just slice the apples and pan fry it. That’s all. No need to add oil or sugar. Just pan fry it at very low heat for a while. It turns into really sweet tasting apples. You can put it on top of ice cream or add whip cream on it and it will turn into a nice treat! You’ve gotta give it a shot!
Check out these cute little apples! Have you ever seen them before? They look really cute but they were not that sweet so I tried the method my student suggested. It turned out really good. I messed up though. I should have peeled the skin before I did it.
