Monday, May 5th. “Result of Autophagy”
A couple of months ago, I wrote about autophagy. Autophagy is scientific proof that fasting is good for you. Anyway, I’ve done it for more than a month now. The result is I feel really good. I lost weight, but more than that I feel I have more energy. My night time student even noticed the difference. She said my complexion looks better. My students often tell me I look tired before but these days I think I don’t look so tired. I might have found a key to stay energetic. Science rules!!
proof – 証明
complexion – 顔色
Science rules! – 科学は最高だぜ!(rulesはスラングで「最高」「抜群」「得意、うまい」という意味があります。)

Friday, May 10th. “Souvenirs from students”
Last week, I received a lot of things as souvenirs from students. Many students traveled somewhere and they brought me back some souvenirs. I’m very thankful for getting so many things. I always eat it after I have my lunch and dinner. However, I cannot eat all of it so I share it with students. Along with the souvenirs, students often tell me things about their trip. It’s nice to hear about it because I don’t get to travel often. By hearing about it, I can imagine what it’s like. I sometimes take notes about the places so I can learn about them. Sometimes, imagining yourself there is just as good as being there.
Actually, I received more things but I already ate them and I forgot to take pictures of them. Sorry.
