Monday, June 3rd.  “Business trip to Thai Part 2”

I was in Thailand for 3 full days.  There are so many things to tell you about the place.  The reason I went there is to take a look at the school I will tie up with.  It was a great university and I hope many Japanese students will study there.

Here are some pictures of the university.  There are two campuses.  One is in the city center of Bangkok and the other is in the resort area called Hua Hin.

Hua hin a really nice resort area.  Here are some pictures of Hua Hin campus.

The students’ dorm is like a hotel.  Actually, it is a hotel.  The owner built a hotel but he could not get the license for it by the government so he rented it out to Webster University.  Most of Webster University students stay in a hotel their whole university life.  How lucky!!

I’m trying to make a one week program with this school so my students can join the classes.   I’m sure you’ll have a great time there.

Wednesday, June 5th.  “Business Trip to Thai Part 3”

This is the last journal to write about my trip to Thai.  The thing I liked the most about Thai was the food and the people.😎☺️  Thai food is amazing.  Everything I ate was really good and surprisingly reasonable.  You can eat good food for 60 Bahts (180 yen)!!  I ate a lot of things, but I didn’t put on weight!  I guess it must be healthy as well!. 😋

I went to a place called Cicada market and Tamarind market.  They are next to each other and they had amazing food there.  Here are some pictures of them.

I also went to shabby local restaurants.  The food there was also fabulous!!

Hua Hin is a nice beach resort area.  We were also able to check out the resort area.

While I was there, I used taxis most of all and one time I got to ride a tuk-tuk.😃

I used an app called Grab.  It was amazing! ✊ The taxi came in 2~4 min.  I just put in the destination and it took me there.  The payment was done through my credit card so I didn’t have to worry about getting ripped off.

ripped off – ぼったくられる

The last thing I want to show you is one of my favorite food.  I really love coconut, you know.   Particularly, ice cream coconut.  In Japan, I can never find coconut ice cream. 😭 I’m always looking for it.  In Thailand, there were so many kinds!! I loved them! ❤️😋

The trip turned out to be great!  I think it’s a great place to study and travel.  I would like to talk to you more about the school if you are interested in going there. If you have children, grandchildren, or other relatives that would like to study at an American university at a very reasonable place, I highly recommend going to Thai.  Please talk to me if you are interested. ☺️

Sunday, June 9th.  “Closing down”

A while back, I wrote about a restaurant I discovered.  I was happy to find it because they served Califonia roll.  I had not eaten Califonia roll for a long time so it made me happy.  I told many students about it.  One student decided to go but she was disappointed because it was not open.  I checked the hours later and it said it was supposed to be open.

I wrote in my blog that I was worried about that restaurant because there was hardly any customers when I went there.  Just as I thought, the restaurant closed down.  I was so disappointed because I would not be able to eat Califonia roll anymore.

In Japan, food trends come and go.  Right now, the popular thing is Tapioca drinks from Taiwan.  People are lining up to try it.  I feel it’s so difficult to do a food business in Japan.  I guess Califonia Sushi missed their timing. I feel so sad.  😭

Just as I thought – やっぱり
